A post was made on MSPA about a secret shopping scam and is dated 2005 involving cashing cashier's checks.  I found this scam posted somwhere else dated late 2007, so it seems maybe it's resurfacing.  I'm providing a link below for all to read about it.  This is significant because there is a legit company that secret shops check cashing services.  But, the scam is about cashing large sums of money ($2,500.00) and the legit company only requires about $75.00.  I have personally done the legit assignments....super, super easy.

To avoid scams, stick with the companies in the reputable directory information I have posted in "Getting Started" and "MSPA." 

I am also including a link to the Federal Trade Commission about "How Not to be Scammed" in the secret shopping industry....most of the info is redundant to what I have posted in MSPA....but, it's always a good thing to learn as much as we can to protect ourselves.

In case it hasn't been displayed yet, my goal is to show the legit and real industry of secret shopping..so, I will pass on any scam information about the industry whenever I find it.
